Ying and Yang, Black and White

I want to share with you some very successful 5th grade projects with Positive and Negative space.  I had a huge basket of black construction paper rectangles that were a by-product of another project over the past several years that I just couldn't throw away but didn't know what to do with.  After seeing a number of project ideas on blogs, pinterest, etc about Notan paper cuts, I decided I'd found a use for those rectangles.  These are only about 2.5 x 4 rectangles so an index card is used for the white part of the project then they are mounted on a 9 x 6 piece of construction paper.  They are really striking.  I plan to "paper" a bulletin board with them.
